to walk down the aisle looking ones absolute best, that is the dream…but the girls get all the help they need, time for another walk down style alley for the chaps. Courtesy of Carlo Pignatelli’s 2010 collection we aim to bring to the fore the shear variety of mens fashion in the wedding department. The touch of Italian class and theatre is all too apparent in the latest threads to hit the catwalks, still…you cant help but admire how simply brilliant they are.

True to form, the weekend that marks the official start of summer started in a rather overcast fashion, but fear not blog fans, as the sun crept out from behind the clouds long enough for us to get some amazing shots. Venturing into the unknown, today saw me visit the lovely Horwood House in Buckinghamshire, a beautiful ivy covered mansion situated in 38 acres of land. There was no Dusty to be heard through the rafters, more Michael Buble and The Killers being pumped out of the girls room, however, the love between these two was felt by all and i’m pretty sure with one shot in particular…i caught it on camera…
I absolutely love this photo, for me it sums up a wedding day perfectly, its joy, its excitement… its just beautiful, you cant look at this and not smile…
…Matt and Nicola take a few moments to themselves just after the ceremony…

Brendan and Julie are an absolutely fantastic couple, the day went perfectly and they were a joy to photograph. Julie was beautiful in her Lusan Mandongus dress, and the pair exchanged vows in front of close friends and family inside the stunning Victorian Orangery, situated within the grounds of St.Audries park in Somerset.
Pictured below are the couple taking a few moments just after the ceremony…
…a few more from the day…
i must confess apart from photography my other great love is eating…lots. Kudos to the pastry chef as this creation tasted as awesome as it looked

It only dawned on me recently the undeniable parity between my endeavors on a film set, and those on a wedding day. All the usual guests, cast and crew are in attendance. Actors and actresses make way for the bride and groom to take the limelight, steal the show, and all in attendance stride with contented grins, as they know they are part of something brilliant, fantastic, unique! My Jules Winnfield moment occurred whilst on my most recent film set. A fantastic few days, great times, great people, great photos…great!
…we have the candid shots and the lovely ladies doing the make-up, coincidentally this lovely lady (often otherwise known by her alter ego; Holleigh) also extends her artistry to the wedding scene, contact me for details…
…And finally, the main shots that take precedence, reside in the fore of the mind and are a visual signifier for the whole event. uncanny!
Speaking of films, i gazed a gazely stare upon a 1993 vintage in the past week, The Three Musketeers to be precise. Valour, honour and good old heroism are a sure fire way to a ladies heart, but as a Mr. Charlie Sheen aptly demonstrates for us desperate romantics, a telling grip on the English language, is a powerful tool indeed:
As morning hues of sun swept fire.
Caress you passion face, alone with you leaves
pure desire to worship under you grace.
My soul would cry in silent prayer to ner be
swept apart.
Your essences of the evening air as I danced into
your heart

You heard it here first blog fans, these guys are immense!
the wedding related banter will continue i promise! however this is a follow up tale and must be shared. Last night i journeyed through the cacophony of noise and locomotion that is the London underground and emerged in unfamiliar territory. After conquering oaken ingress i found myself in the belly of a well renowned watering hole, The Rocket in Acton, however drinking on the job is cardinal sin…and lest we forget what we gave up for lent. However it was the music we had arrived for, and that lie in a dimly lit bohemian paradise in the upper floor.
To be more succinct, Jennifer and Owen are, in a word, outstanding. A spectacle truly worthy of this report, beautiful melodic rhythm guitar coupled with amazing vocal control, the performance simply brings a smile to ones face. My thoughts were reciprocated by my fellow audience members, with utterances of a similar generous nature.
Heres a few photographs from the night, hope you like them.

Its been an interesting start to the year, all kinds of work popping up here and there. I therefore thought it apt to share what we’ve been up to. Sean and i are full time Photographers/Retouchers, our work sees us take on all manner of projects. A recent expedition took us to photograph a fantastic up and coming pair of musicians Jennifer and Owen, i had the pleasure of a mini performance to get an idea of what kind of style they were going for and believe me these guys are ones to watch. They have a gig coming up in march actually, i will post information when i know more!
Anyway heres a sample of what we got up to:
After seeing Stephen Berkmans work on ‘The Assassination of Jesse James’ and his work with the Raconteurs i had to have a stab at the Ambrotype myself. The depth of the blacks and the character of the photographs is what intrigued me, pretty chuffed with the outcome.
A smashing day it has to be said, these guys are definitely worth keeping tabs on, am looking forward to checking them out live next month. It’s a Haiti fund raiser i believe, good tunes and a good cause. As i say, i will post details when i know more, as for me, adios!
peace out blog fans x
